Business Developer

We are looking for a Business Developer to join our growing team. The Business Development will be a key member of the business development team working closely to progress initiatives that support GenomSoft’s business strategy.

Python/Django Architect

GenomSoft is looking for a Python/Django Architect responsible for designing, developing and managing the django application in charge of supporting the interchange of genomic data between the server and the users, and of processing of the same genomic data.

Sales Engineer

We are looking to hire a Sales Engineer. The role requires management of the full sales cycle from prospect qualification to customer acquisition, engaging prospects and customers on the topic of their genomic data management strategy and helping them to develop a more efficient approach, leveraging GenomSoft solutions.

Business Developer

As part of GenomSoft’s growth strategy, we are looking to hire a Business Developer to join our growing team. The Business Development will be a key member of the business development team working closely to progress initiatives that support GenomSoft’s business strategy. We are looking for someone who can combine strategic thinking and sharp executions coupled with relentless ambition and energy to reach target goals. Our ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic capable of thriving in a high growth, fast paced and intellectual environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of the business development cycle to successfully close, including opportunity development, proposal development, implementation estimating, project scoping, client presentations, negotiation and close;
  • Collaborate with the Sales Engineer for the technical specification of the proposals;
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events;
  • Assist with core business development activities, such as generating pitch decks and communicating with clients
  • Seek out new market insights and business opportunities through research and analysis
  • Provide competitive intelligence on competitors
  • Develop and maintain relationships across professional and social networks and key connections in the life science industry
  • Identify and screen potential target companies and partners in academia and industry
  • Support with in-licensing, out-licensing and M&A activities
  • Responsible for new client acquisition and the expansion of existing clients

Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration or graduate degree in life science preferred
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a business development role preferably in life science
  • 2-5 years’ experience in business development for software products
  • Detailed oriented, possess quantitative and analytical skills
  • Effective project and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize among competing goals to execute on tight deadlines
  • Must be capable of working independently, but also an effective team player and enthusiastic collaborator in a cross-functional environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written to interact knowledgeably with and impact both internal and external parties
  • Well-developed network with eHealth, mHealth, Medtech, Life Science Pharma
  • Dynamic, proactive, entrepreneurial-minded expert with proven expert in customer acquisition and account management
  • Fluent English and French both spoken and written.

Desirable Skills And Experience

  • Understanding of genomics/genetics and genome sequencing technology
  • Understanding of biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry, drug discovery and development

Python/Django Architect

As part of GenomSoft’s growth strategy, we are looking to hire a Django/Python Architect. This role is based in Lausanne and presents an excellent opportunity to join us at the start of our exciting scale-up programme.

GenomSoft is looking for a Python/Django Architect responsible for designing, developing and managing the Django application in charge of supporting the interchange of genomic data between the server and the users, and of processing of the same genomic data. Your primary focus will be the design and development of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application; therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well. A particular focus on security will require at least basic knowledge of strong authentication, content protection through cryptography and digital signature, and secure channel establishment (SSL, SSH tunnels, VPN).

Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, scalable, and performance efficient web applications
  • Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
  • Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
  • Implementation of security and data protection
  • Integration of data storage solutions

Qualifications

  • Expert in Python, with knowledge of Django Web Framework
  • Familiarity with ORM libraries
  • Working knowledge of SQL databases such as Postgres and MySQL
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and their implementation
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and with virtualization technologies
  • Experience with Django application deployment on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
  • Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python
  • Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Basic experience with Linux system administration
  • Strong unit test and debugging skills
  • Proficient understanding of git.
  • Fluent in French and English both spoken and written

Sales Engineer

As part of GenomSoft’s growth strategy, we are looking to hire a Sales Engineer. The role requires management of the full sales cycle from prospect qualification to customer acquisition, engaging prospects and customers on the topic of their genomic data management strategy and helping them to develop a more efficient approach, leveraging GenomSoft’s solutions. The Sales Engineer will work cross-functionally with the Business Development, Product Management and Engineering, and will be a key player in GenomSoft’s growth strategy.

GenomSoft’s SA develops MPEG-G compliant software solutions for genomic data compression, transport and processing. Our tools helps organizations manage genomic data from creation to analysis and sharing.

We’re looking for someone who can express passion about the new technologies and the impact of Genomic Data Processing in Personalized Medicine and Healthcare.

Your excellent communication skills will enable you to work with our clients – including scientists – to extract specifications and fully understand the issues they are experiencing, running product demonstrations and answering technical questions about product functionality.

This role presents an excellent opportunity to join us at the start of our exciting scale-up programme. This role is based in Lausanne, although there is likely to be some travel to client offices in other parts of the world.

  • Execute the commercial strategy in collaboration with the Business Developer and the company management
  • Qualify and engage with prospects and transform them into customers
  • Analyze and evaluate the customer’s needs and elaborate technical specifications for proposed solutions

  • Work in close collaboration with the team in Lausanne

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of sales/business experience in eHealth/ Life Science/ Medtech
  • 2-5 years experience in software development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong team-spirit
  • Good understanding in software solution, in particular data processing
  • Experience with long-cycle / IT sales.
  • Fluent English and French both spoken and written.
